Fillmore Convalescent Center is a
99-bed Skilled Nursing facility, located in the
City of Fillmore, California, about 20 miles east of Ventura /
50 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
The City of
Fillmore,
"the last unspoiled small town in Southern California (just
ask Hollywood; they film here almost constantly), is nestled in the
heart of the Heritage Valley among lush citrus groves. Fillmore was
founded over a hundred years ago beside a Southern Pacific railroad
station, and it's still a "railroad" town!"
Built between 1976 and 1977, Fillmore
Convalescent Center
opened its doors for the first time in May 1977, with a full
capacity of 92-beds, and it continues to be part of a growing
community in the
City of Fillmore.
In the year 2000 an addition was built onto the
facility, a brand new "secured unit" for residents that may wander
off, increasing its capacity to a total of 99 beds and enhancing its
services.
Almost 30 years later, Fillmore
Convalescent Center
continues providing and enhancing its care for hundreds of
residents each year.
